Terms of Purchase
Event sign-ups and payments on Just Climb
Last updated: 20 October 2026 · Effective from: 20 October 2026
§1. What these terms cover and who is who
- These terms set out how to sign up for events (e.g. competitions, workshops, classes) and buy add-ons (e.g. T-shirts, meals, starter packs) through the Just Climb mobile app and the justclimb.it website (the "Platform").
- The Platform is run by 5517 Tomasz Teter, a sole trader registered in the Polish Central Register of Business Activity (CEIDG), ul. Obrońców Westerplatte 6, 27-600 Sandomierz, Poland, NIP (tax ID) 8641934806, REGON 381009106, e-mail: support@justclimb.it (the "Platform Operator").
- The seller is the event Organiser — the climbing gym, club or other entity running the event and named on the event page. The contract for taking part in the event and for Add-ons is concluded between the Buyer and the Organiser.
- The Seller's and the Payment operator's details for a given event (name, address, tax ID, REGON, contact and the entity processing the payment) are shown in the "Seller and payment" box at the top of these terms — it appears when the terms are opened from that event's sign-up form — and in the purchase confirmation sent by e-mail.
- The Platform Operator provides Organisers and Buyers with a sign-up and payment tool. It is not a party to the sale, does not receive Buyers' payments and does not run events. Where the event page names the Platform Operator as the Seller, the contract is concluded with it and the provisions on the Seller apply to it.
- Use of the Platform (account, content, app) is governed by the Platform Terms, and data processing by the Privacy Policy. How the event is run (rules of participation, categories, scoring, safety) is set out in the event rules published by the Organiser on the event page. On matters of purchase and payment these terms prevail.
§2. Definitions
- Buyer — the person placing an Order: a natural person with full legal capacity (a minor — with the consent of a legal guardian), a legal person or an organisational unit. A Buyer may sign up themselves and other people (e.g. children, club members).
- Consumer — a Buyer who is a consumer within the meaning of Article 22¹ of the Polish Civil Code. Provisions on Consumers also apply to a sole trader for whom the contract is not of a professional nature (Article 38a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
- Participant — a person signed up for an event.
- Order — a sign-up for an event (entry fee) for one or more people, a purchase of Add-ons, or both.
- Add-ons — goods (e.g. a T-shirt) or services (e.g. a meal) offered by the Organiser together with the event.
- Payment operator — the licensed entity processing the payment for an Order (§5(2)).
§3. Technical requirements
To place an Order you need a device with internet access, an up-to-date web browser or the Just Climb app (Android or iOS), and an active e-mail address. The app requires an account; on the website — if the Organiser allows it — you can sign up without one.
§4. Placing an Order
- On the event page the Buyer chooses a category and gives the Participants' details the Organiser asks for; they may also choose Add-ons (with a variant, e.g. a size) and request an invoice.
- Before placing the Order the Buyer sees its summary: Participants, Add-ons and the total price, and next to the acceptance box — a link to these terms with the Seller's and the Payment operator's details (§1(4)).
- The Order is placed with a button indicating an obligation to pay (e.g. "Sign up and pay"), after accepting these terms and — where the Organiser requires it — the event rules.
- The contract is concluded when the Payment operator confirms the payment. The Buyer receives a confirmation of the contract with its content (event, Participants, Add-ons, price, Seller, confirmation code) by e-mail.
- Joining a waiting list is not an Order and requires no payment. When a place frees up, the Buyer receives an offer and may pay for it within the time stated in the message; after that the place passes to the next person.
§5. Prices and payments
- Prices are shown in the event's currency (usually Polish złoty) and are gross prices — they include taxes, including VAT where the Seller is VAT-registered. The Platform adds no fees for the Buyer.
- Payment is made in advance, online, through the Payment operator chosen by the Organiser and shown in the "Seller and payment" box (§1(4)) — one of:
- PayU S.A., Poznań, Poland,
- Krajowy Integrator Płatności S.A. (Tpay), Poznań, Poland,
- mBank S.A. (Paynow), Warsaw, Poland,
- PayPro S.A. (Przelewy24), Poznań, Poland,
- Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Dublin, Ireland.
- The payment methods available (e.g. BLIK, instant bank transfer, payment card, Google Pay, Apple Pay) depend on the Payment operator and the Organiser's settings and are shown on the payment page.
- The money goes directly to the Organiser's account with the Payment operator. The Platform Operator does not receive, hold or pass on Buyers' payments and has no access to payment card details.
- Payment is due immediately after placing the Order. Until it is paid, places and Add-ons may be reserved for a limited time; an unpaid Order expires and the place returns to the pool.
- If the Buyer asks for an invoice, it is issued by the Seller (the Organiser) to the details given with the Order and sent to the e-mail address provided.
§6. Fulfilment — when you get what you paid for
- The Buyer receives the sign-up and purchase confirmation by e-mail (and, in the app, as a notification) as soon as the payment is booked, usually within a few minutes.
- The service of taking part in the event is provided by the Organiser on the date, at the time and at the place shown on the event page.
- Add-ons are handed out to Participants at the venue on the day of the event (e.g. at the competition desk), unless their description says otherwise. The Platform does not ship anything.
- The Organiser informs Buyers by e-mail or in the app of any change of date or venue, or of cancellation.
§7. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds
- Entry fees. Under Article 38(1)(12) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014, the right to withdraw from a distance contract does not apply to services related to sporting, leisure or cultural events, or to catering services, where the contract specifies the date or period of performance. This covers entry fees and Add-ons that are services tied to the event (e.g. a meal).
- Regardless of the above, the Buyer may withdraw a sign-up in the app or by contacting the Organiser. Whether and how much is refunded is set by the event rules; where they say nothing, the Organiser decides.
- Add-ons that are goods (e.g. a T-shirt). A Consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of collecting the goods, and at any time before collection. It is enough to send the Seller a statement, e.g. by e-mail (the template in the Annex may be used). The Consumer returns the goods to the Seller without undue delay and no later than 14 days after withdrawing, and bears the direct cost of returning them. This right does not apply to goods made to the Consumer's specification or clearly personalised (e.g. printed with a name) — Article 38(1)(3) of the Consumer Rights Act.
- If the Organiser cancels the event, the full entry fee and the price of Add-ons not handed out are refunded.
- Refunds are made by the Seller within 14 days, using the same payment method the Buyer used, unless the Buyer agrees to another; the Buyer bears no cost for the refund. For goods, the Seller may withhold the refund until it receives them back or proof they were sent.
§8. Complaints
- The Seller is liable to the Consumer for the conformity of the service and Add-ons with the contract under the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
- Complaints about the event or Add-ons should be sent to the Organiser (contact details are on the event page) or to support@justclimb.it — we will pass them on to the Organiser without delay.
- Complaints about how the Platform works (e.g. a sign-up error or a missing confirmation despite payment) should be sent to the Platform Operator: by e-mail to support@justclimb.it or by post to the address in §1(2).
- A complaint should include: name, e-mail address, event name, confirmation code (if any), a description of the problem and the remedy sought.
- Complaints are answered within 14 days of receipt, to the Buyer's e-mail address.
- Complaints about the payment transaction itself (e.g. a double charge) may also be filed directly with the Payment operator under its terms.
§9. Out-of-court dispute resolution
A Consumer may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, including help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, consumer organisations (e.g. Federacja Konsumentów) and permanent consumer arbitration courts at the provincial Trade Inspection offices. Information is available at prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl.
§10. Personal data
Participants' and the Buyer's data are processed to handle the sign-up, the payment and the event. The Organiser receives the data needed to run the event, and the Payment operator the data needed for the payment (e.g. name, e-mail, amount). Details, including the rights of data subjects, are in the Privacy Policy.
§11. Final provisions
- These terms are available free of charge on justclimb.it in a form that allows them to be downloaded, saved and printed.
- Changes to these terms do not apply to Orders placed before they take effect.
- Contracts are governed by Polish law. This choice of law does not deprive a Consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
- These terms do not exclude or limit any rights of a Consumer under the law.
